Dreamy skin duo

Winter has not been kind to my skin. I basically spend my life sweating in the gym, freezing my ass off waiting for public transport and getting impromptu steam facials from the dishwasher at work so you can imagine the stress my wee face goes through most of the time. Combine this with the impending flu and cranked up central heating and you truly have a recipe for disaster!

I normally have combination skin but it gets a little drier at this time of year. Normally I would wear a heavier moisturiser and a liquid foundation but I’ve been trying to keep my make up routine more toned down in order to keep my skin in better condition. So I’ve been reaching for these two products; one is drugstore and the other is high end, and together they make a dreamy combination leaving my face looking brighter and healthier.

First up the Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm is an ideal base for any make up. It gives a subtle glow to the skin, smooths and evens whilst hydrating at the same time. In summer I used this on its own for when I was just heading to the gym, but it works equally well if not better in combination with other products.

I’ve mentioned the Loreal Lumi Magique Primer a few times now, and although it works well as a primer I have actually started to mix it with a BB cream for a more glowing finish. Priced under £10 this is an absolute steal and should definitely be in every girl’s collection. I use this after the Elemis Flash Balm to give a further dimension to my ‘glow’ and find that it lasts all day without turning greasy. I normally seal the deal with concealer where required and a little powder on my T zone and this gives me a dewy but not overly shimmery base.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you tried either if these products?
