Nivea Express Hydration Primer: I was desperate for this when it first came out, but to be honest I’ve hardly used it. I’m using it up now for the gym or lighter make up days when I don’t really need a primer. The price point is good (less than a fiver) and it does act as a moisturiser, but I don’t find it particularly smoothing or good at adding any longevity to my make up.
Rimmel Perfect Match Foundation:This foundation has divided bloggers and I am falling into the ‘don’t understand the hype’ gang I’m afraid! Again, using this up for the gym is my only option because I only come home to wash it off after an hour. It gives a very ‘dewy’ finish, but to me it just kind of looks wet and shiny. I buff it in a lot with a brush and hope for the best.
MUA Pearl Eyeshadow Shade 22: I picked this up after seeing a tutorial by the lovely Gabriella Rose where she used a pink eye shadow. This is a nice easy to wear shade which at £1 is a great addition to anyone’s collection.
Benefit Brows a-go-go I have used this brow kit religiously for over a year now. The product lasts for ages and it also comes with an eye-liner, tweezers and highlighting powder. This is a really good value for money product if you like using powder on your brows instead of pencil. I can’t go to the gym without brows on – that’s just wrong!
Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge: I have this in the shade ‘raspberry’ which is a very deep red colour in the pan. I got this as a gift and was quite taken a back by the dark shade when I first opened it! It actually blends out fine and has amazing staying power. It’s a little dry to be used on the lips though, as Bobbi suggests.
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara: This is my go-to mascara at the moment. I like the rubber brush as it allows you to get every single lash, and adds a good amount of length for a daytime look. Really affordable too.
