The Fast Diet: Today’s Food Diary

Meal 1

30g porridge oats made with water and agave nectar, 3 raspberries: 197 calories

Meal 2

Scrambled egg, slice of brown toast and one meringue nest: 306 calories

Drinks: 1 black coffee, 1 can of Diet Coke, 1 rooibos tea : 1 calorie

Total calories: 504

I was working from 12-4pm yesterday so had my breakfast about 10.30pm and ended up going to a fitness class after work so didn’t eat dinner until 8.30pm. I didn’t feel particularly hungry, but I do really enjoy exercising so its the perfect distraction for me. By the time my dinner was in front of me I must admit I wolfed it down in record time! I went to bed about 10.30pm and couldn’t sleep because I was thinking about what to have for breakfast. I definitely have some serious food issues! I weighed myself yesterday and I have basically stayed the same weight after one week on the plan. I only really want to lose another 7 pounds or so (I’ve lost about 14 over the past year) and I know the last few are the hardest. I’m finding the 5:2 plan really enjoyable so I’m going to stick with it even if I only lose a pound here and there.
